What's the 100 Best Dating Sites all about?

Thank you for visiting my 100 Best Dating Sites Guide. I'm always being asked the same questions about this site - who, where, why, etc. Before asking me anything, please read this FAQ page and see if your question is answered here first.

Why did you create this website?

I've spent many hours searching the internet, looking for good dating websites. Maybe you have too, and if so, you'll know how frustrating it can be trying to find a site that you like. There are lots of sites that sound good until you actually visit them and find that:

The site is actually a porn site and/or opens so many windows automatically on your browser that it crashes.
It's actually a "gateway" page to a dating site you've already visited at least 5 times through different domain names.
The site contains so many banner adverts that you aren't sure if it's a dating site or a billboard.
It was a dating site once upon a time but has now died and vanished.
It actually is a dating site, but is so poorly designed that you get loads of Javascript and/or 404 errors. Yeuch!
Etc, etc, etc .....

I decided that I would go through the hassle of filtering out the rubbish and write the definitive internet dating sites guide to save you from going to the same trouble. All sites listed here have been visited and rated by myself. I've filled in all the registration forms, I've received all the "spam" e-mails and I've finally compiled this independent list.

I think your site is a load of rubbish / I disagree with your opinions.

Any praise or criticism that is expressed here represents my own honest opinion. If you don't like my site then don't visit it again or better still why not write your own guide? If you disagree with me then that's your opinion - to which you are entitled. If you honestly think that I have wrongly slated or praised a particular site then let me know. If that site has changed since my last visit or I agree that I was too harsh or too lenient in my appraisal then I'll happily set the record straight.
